2018-2019 Season
In this dark comedy set in a small New England town at Halloween, 18-year-old Perdue finds a job in a place most people wouldn't even consider: the local graveyard. Bid, the taciturn former Marine who runs the cemetery, hires Perdue because she unexpectedly touches Bid's heart. Bid's young assistant Robbie has gleaned most of his knowledge of manhood from the pages of Maxim. By play's end, each of their searches for what they've lost ends when they find one another instead.

Welcome to the weekly divorce group, held in the basement of the Unitarian church. The members are suddenly left stranded when Mitchell, their leader, leaves halfway through. Luckily, Barb has agreed to be the new group leader. Her unorthodox methods throw them all for a loop, but they eventually find that being off balance just might be the way to break through to a new understanding of their relationships.

A young couple struggles to find their footing in the aftermath of a miscarriage. While Emma is still in the hospital, she and Kip try, with the help or interference of his sister, a physician assistant and an insightful older patient, to piece together what their relationship has been and what it still might become. A quiet comedy about big choices, small kindnesses, and getting a grip on letting go.

The show is family-friendly and makes for a fun and affordable night out.

This year we're presenting our cabaret at MONDO, our favorite downtown venue for the arts! Our theme will be A MUSICAL STATE OF MIND, which will feature favorite songs that contain the names and distinctive flavors of some of our great states. You might hear James Taylor's Carolina in My Mind, New York, New York, Moonlight in Vermont, Tom Waits' Jersey Girl and many more brought to you by Dreamcatcher's singers and their guests.

A VERY SPECIAL (HOLIDAY) SPECIAL is an all-original good old-fashioned holiday variety show in the style of traditional television holiday specials. While every year’s show is unique, the Very Special Special will include a healthy serving of improv, spoofs of holiday songs, comic sketches and lots of fun. It’s a Dreamcatcher annual tradition that’s sure to get you in the holiday spirit! One night only!

“MEET THE ARTIST” Series presents two new play readings each spring. The readings provide thought-provoking experiences that include the opportunity for audience discussion with the playwright, director and actors after the performance. It’s an entertaining evening that gives audiences a glimpse of the play development process as they provide valuable feedback to the creative teams.

Join us as we celebrate at our annual fundraising party to support the non-profit mission of Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre. The celebration begins at our home at Oakes Center at 6pm with drinks and hors d'oeuvres. Enjoy unlimited beer, wine and soft drinks followed by a buffet dinner. At 8pm the Dreamcatcher ensemble will perform. Dessert and coffee will follow the performance.

In the summer of 2014, DRT presented a series of solo works as readings at MONDO, the cultural gathering place in downtown Summit. The series was received with such enthusiasm, that since then we return to MONDO every summer with our Monologues@MONDO series.
