Ever sit around a campfire listening to a great story? That’s how you’ll feel at this year’s Dreamcatcher Junior production—Legends & Lore: A Journey Around the World. The Summer Theatre Conservatory kids have gathered folktales from countries all over the world and put them into this fantastic new show. As always, the cast collaborates with the instructors (this year’s directors are Jessica O’Hara-Baker and Rose Pedone) to create an original show with song and dance. In doing so they learn how to be a successful and cooperative ensemble while experiencing the joy of putting on a show.

About Dreamcatcher Junior

Legends & Lore: A Journey Around the World is the fifth annual production of Dreamcatcher Junior. One of the hallmarks of the program is that the show is always directed by theatre professionals, but is staffed by and cast with students from elementary school through college.

Tickets

Legends & Lore: A Journey Around the World will be performed at Dreamcatcher on Friday, July 29 at 7:30pm. All tickets cost $10. Proceeds fund scholarships for next year’s theatre camp.

There is no charge for season ticketholders. Performances regularly sell out. To guarantee a seat, buy tickets online (no fees!) The in-person box office accepts cash only.

The theater is located at Dreamcatcher’s home at the Baird Center, a few blocks from the center of downtown South Orange. Directions   The Baird Center is wheelchair accessible.
