WHAT’S UP WITH THE RESIDENT ACTING ENSEMBLE?

Harry Patrick Christian

• Last month Harry directed Once on this Island at the Del E Web Performing Arts Center in Arizona.
• Since he’s been back Harry has been performing in The Theater Project's production of Penny Penniworth at the Arts Incubator (Essex Green) in West Orange. The Dickensian comedy runs through August 7. Info
• While acting at night, Harry is simultaneously directing at Essex Youth Theater during the day!
• And not to be outdone by David, Harry also sent a cute picture with Bella and Elysse, two of the Essex Youth Theater students.

Dave Miceli

• Dave reports that he’s not doing much besides auditioning and taking care of his adorable little Miceli. Since he knows how much you love kid pix, he has obliged us with a photo of Jenna and Gus.

Scott McGowan

• Scott just wrapped Permanent Collection at Human Race theatre in Dayton, Ohio. The show is about elitism and racism in the art world. Scott played the white guy--go figure! Photos
• Now that he’s back in town, Scott’s fans can see him at our May 25 new play reading of Shakespeare in Vegas. Info
• And finally, because Scott’s girls are just so darned cute, here’s a pic of 6-year old Shaelyn at her Jesse (from “Toy Story”) themed birthday party with her little sister, Essa.

Laura Ekstrand

• Laura just got back from a week in the Blue Ridge Mountains with her family for some much needed R&R. “Mountains were climbed, coffee was sipped, ice cream was eaten. It was everything you could want in a vacation.” (photo below)
• Laura will be directing our May 11 new play reading of "Random Horrible Thoughts About Love"; and then on May 25 she will don her acting hat as she joins the cast reading Shakespeare in Vegas. Info

Scott McGowan

• Scott was just cast in Permanent Collection at Human Race theatre in Dayton, Ohio. The show is about elitism and racism in the art world. Scott plays the white guy—go figure! The play runs April 14 - May 1. Info
• Before heading out of town, Scott can be seen playing Harriett's husband in Distracted at Dreamcatcher. Info

Dave Miceli

• Congratulations to long-time Dreamcatcher company member Dave Miceli and his beautiful wife Jenna for the birth of their first child, August, in September!
• For all you stat counters out there, August’s vitals are: 7 lbs. 3 oz., 20.25 inches long.
• Looks like August has inherited the acting gene from his parents. He's already been to make-up!
